US Women’s Open - Where we stand at the end of Day 2

It was another weather shortened day at Pine Needles, which, judging by the way the course was playing, might not be that bad for some of the ladies. Currently leader Angela Park has yet to tee off at all for her 2nd round, so she’ll be out there at 8:03 to get it started. On the other hand, Paula Creamer is nearly finished her round and sits +4 for the tournament. Will not having to play 2 whole rounds in one day help or hurt the Pint Panther?

I’m looking forward to being there to see the events unfold in person tomorrow…

US Women’s Open - Midday Update

It’s 1:00 and a number of players are half way through their 2nd round at the US Women’s Open. There are a few people makes moves, but a number of the bigger names aren’t teeing off until after 4. Paula Creamer looked like she was making her move earlier today, but is now still hovering at 4 back.

US Women’s Open - Day 1, Rain Delay & Creamer 4 back

Though there was a delay in play due to a storm, a large portion of the players got their rounds in today. A teenager is on top of the leaderboard (though not Michelle Wie) and some of the big guns are lurking right around the corner, including Paula Creamer, who’s 4 off the lead with 5 holes left to play in her first round tomorrow.

Tracking the US Women’s Open, Creamer coming On

Rain created a little bit of havoc today at the US Women’s open, forcing play to be suspended for a large portion of the afternoon. Fighting through the minor chaos, however, Paula Creamer is now down to +1 and only 4 shots back from the leader.

Early Results from the US Women’s Open, Creamer tees off at 1:15

Taking a quick look at the US Women’s Open results shows some familiar names lurking around the top of the leader board (Lorena Ochoa, Christie Kerr, Britney Lincicome, & Morgan Pressel to name a few…). Also, it looks like Natalie Gulbis is playing through her injury as she’s +1 through 15. Unfortunately, it looks like I’m not going to be able to see Michelle Wie this weekend as she’s +8 through 15. Still, that’s 4 better than Karrie Webb, who’s +12 through 6.

I’m not a big Michelle Wie fan (in that I am always rooting for her), but I do want to see her play over the weekend so I’m hopeful she’s straightened her game out some, plus, I did see her at that Orlando Magic game earlier this year…
